Here’s the refined fish. I’ve taken your feedback and over all applied it to both the previous round’s Fish A and B comps. FYI, both of these comps work beautifully as one color. I would still consider these fish preliminary before a final refinement, but both of them are tight enough to be considered very close to the final icon.

Fish A, I added the bottom fins, and created a stronger two color scheme. The fish is longer and leaner and has an open mouth as opposed to the last round’s frowny mouth

Fish B, I also added the bottom fins and integrated them more into the rear fin system to create a more fluid continual shap.

I LOVE Fish A. I finally reached a point where I felt the click of “that’s it, that’s the one”. It looks and reads as a Betta to me, but is also stylized and iconic. I especially like that you can almost detect a K in the rear fins, and am playing with incorporating a K in “akimma” that emulates this edge.
